Perfect Dress for A Night Out

A friend who helps me with my shoots (one of them at least) also helps me choose outfits that emulate Harry’s looks and this particular outfit she really loved and even said -- “You should put that on the blog.” The problem, at the time, was that I wasn’t sure if there was a suit that Harry had worn that looked like it… until I came across this number from the Dunkirk premiere in London.

Month in Review: January

And just like that… January was over! Well, not quite -- but this is the last week of the first month of the year and I thought of a new way to hold myself accountable for the goals that I’ve set up for myself this year; to blog about them. Back in my Look Back at 2018 post, I mentioned that I have a few goals that I will be working towards throughout the year and in my post last week, I mentioned that I would be starting a new series every month and this is it. I’m calling it “Month in Review.” Catchy.. I know.

My Favorite Looks from Awards Season (So Far...)

Awards Season is here and so far we’ve seen the Golden Globes and the Critics’ Choice Awards with the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards right around the corner, culminated by the Oscars, of course, which don’t air until late February. Or Grammys if you’re more of a music fiend. Outside of the fact that I love awards shows because I love movies and television, the fashion has got to be one of the best things about it.

How Shoes Can Change Your Entire Look

Day to night looks. Type that into Google and you’ll get a slew of blog posts about makeup looks; which lipstick to throw on after work for a spot of drinks, how to add a bit of shadow to your eyes for the perfect smoky look, and which blushes work for the office as well as date night. What you don’t get tons of though is how to transition an outfit from daytime to nighttime so I thought to myself -- Why not do this?

A Look Back at 2018

I have a bit of a tradition when it comes to the New Year -- my dad and I toast to the New Year with pink champagne and I tell him about what I hope to accomplish. Sometimes, it’s fairly simple things, like making sure all of my dishes are washed before going to bed at the end of the night and other times --like this New Year’s-- it’s things that are fairly substantial; like have a first draft of the children’s book I want to write. This 2019 goal felt daunting when I spoke the words aloud and it actually caused me to realize something about myself that I’ve always known by have kind of ignored: I’m easily discouraged.

A Very Harry Christmas Part Deux

Speaking of presents, however, if you’re anything like me --which is a procrastinator-- then you’re probably running out a time to purchase gifts and you also have absolutely no idea what to get the people who are nearest and dearest in your life. To add to the already over-saturated internet market of gift guides, I thought I’d do a part two to my Very Harry Christmas gift guide that I did last year because who doesn’t want to give their loved ones gifts that are inspired by Harry Styles?!

Is Fast Fashion Really That Bad?

A subject that I’ve seen repeatedly on almost every social media as of late is fast fashion. You probably shuddered just reading those words right?! Surely you’ve seen just as many Instagram posts and YouTube videos about the subject as I have and boy is the internet divided on the subject.

Jumpsuit of Dreams Pt. 2

I know what you’re thinking -- another jumpsuit?! But let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good jumpsuit?! It’s an easy outfit that has a place in your wardrobe no matter what the occasion; business casual minimalist wardrobe? Get yourself a simple black jumpsuit! Date night with your SO?! Pick up a sparkly jumpsuit with a deep V. Need some casual street outfits?! A jumpsuit in a playful print is just right for you.

The Top 3 Brands For Petite Ladies (Just In Time for Black Friday!)

Just in case I don’t say it enough, I’m petite; like very petite… extra petite… like I am pretty sure some children are taller than myself. It comes with loads of problems; I can’t reach cabinets, people routinely mistake me for a teenager, and --perhaps the most depressing of all-- I can hardly ever find clothes that fit. When I reached my 30s, I thought maybe it was time to try and not shop in the juniors section and get “big girl” clothes.

The Jumpsuit of Dreams

Contrary to the past few posts of my blog, I have not forgotten that this blog is based on Harry Styles. Here I am -- back again with another outfit inspired by Harry Styles’ fashion; and this time we’re borrowing (again!) from the Harry Styles: Live on Tour suits that graced stages across the globe in 2017 and 2018.

5 Fashion Bloggers Show You How to Wear Leopard Print

Welcome to my very first collaboration post! 🎉I’ve teamed up with four other bloggers to show you the variety of ways to wear the trend that kicked off autumn — leopard print. It seems that no one can get enough the the print that defined my childhood in the 90s, and I’ve seen some very fashionable ladies sport leopard print in a multitude of ways; pink and leopard, stripes and leopard print, red and black leopard print — and it all looks SO good.

2018 Sephora VIB Sale Guide

The Sephora VIB Sale is the time where pretty much everyone and their mother goes crazy at the makeup store. 20% off may sound like nothing, but for a store that carries products that are over $100 that you’ve been eyeing for ages -- 20% off sounds like heaven. And, because it’s holiday time (this sale is actually a holiday bonus!) and many people are starting to shop for friends and family (or themselves… I don’t judge), I thought this week called for a shopping list to take advantage of this sale.

3 Most Instagrammable Spots in Los Angeles

One of the most difficult (and I use that word lightly) parts about being a blogger (am I blogger?!) is coming up with new and creative ideas for photos. I am the first to admit that I probably have it a bit easier than others -- after all, I do live in Los Angeles and there are plenty of places to get great photos for Instagram, but it almost seems as if the opportunities are endless and it sometimes can be overwhelming.

Career Wardrobe Essentials: Bright & Bold Trousers

I, like so many other people, spend most of my day at an office. This post could easily complain about the fact that I have to get up early or the fact that I absolutely despise traffic -- but really, this post it’s  about office wear essentials! When I got my current job about a year and a half ago I was told that the office had a business like dress code and mini alarm bells went off in my head: How do I build an office wardrobe that still has my personality in it?

How I Choose Which Harry Styles Looks to Recreate

More often than not I get asked how I choose which Harry Styles fashion looks to recreate. As you can imagine, there are tons of outfit choices to rifle through when it comes to Harry Styles, as he’s been pretty fashionable as long as he’s been famous. But I do have a bit of a formula for choosing outfits to recreate and since some of you have expressed curiosity, I thought I would share that formula.

Fall Transitional Look: Dress + Sneakers

As I was rifling through my Harry Styles Pinterest board, that I actually need to update come to think of it, I came across a very old photo of him. Since we’re running low on Harry Styles updates considering he’s only occasionally popping in and out of our lives, I started feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to do something that “fetus Harry” wore back in his early days of being a fashion king… or at least king of the outlandish suit.

The Autumn Edit: Must-Have Basics for Fall

I love dressing for fall mostly because I live in Los Angeles and the weather is perfect for nearly anything I want to wear; cosy jumpers? Check! Over the knee boots? Go for it! T-shirt and jeans?! That’ll work too! It’s like autumn was made for the city of Los Angeles (I don’t even want to hear to argument that summer was made for LA!) My wardrobe is begging for a season turnover, so I thought I would share with you all the different pieces I have my eye on for autumn featuring my two favorite places to shop: ASOS and Topshop.

Sparkle & Sequins for Girls Night Out

’ll be the first to admit, you’re much more likely to find me in my PJs binging something on Netflix than you are out on the town in Los Angeles! Sure, the Los Angeles weather allows for nights out all year round and it’s definitely something you should take advantage of; but is there really anything better than cuddling up with your pup and settling in for a good Netflix series?! But I hear that there are some people who love going for a night out. I can’t blame you, but you can’t just show up to drinks and dancing in just any ol’ thing can you?!

REWIND: My Favorite Blog Posts Thus Far

Every now and again, I get the idea that I should reintroduce myself. If you’re stumbling onto this blog as a fan of fashion, or beauty, or Harry Styles, I bet you take pause for just a minute to wonder what the hell they all have to do with one another? The simple answer is: absolutely nothing. The more complicated answer: I love them all and they all define me in some way… hence the blog.
