Sparkle & Sequins for Girls Night Out
I’ll be the first to admit, you’re much more likely to find me in my PJs binging something on Netflix than you are out on the town in Los Angeles! Sure, the Los Angeles weather allows for nights out all year round and it’s definitely something you should take advantage of; but is there really anything better than cuddling up with your pup and settling in for a good Netflix series?!
But I hear that there are some people who love going for a night out. I can’t blame you -- drinks and dancing with the perfect music setting off the ambience are a little tempting! But, you can’t just show up to drinks and dancing in just any ol’ thing can you?! Although I am quite content the homebody, I do know how to put together a few pieces that would be perfect for night out attire!
Did someone say sequin trousers?!
The first suit from Harry Styles: Live on Tour 2018 was this one, which he wore in Basel, Switzerland. It was pretty much classic Harry; peaked lapels, Gucci, and --of course-- bespoke. Both the suit jacket and trousers were sequined, while the jacket featured crystal studs decorating the lapels. Although Harry tends to lean towards double-breasted jackets, this one was single breasted and the inside lining was blue. Also in classic Harry style, the shirt he wore underneath (black to match the suit) had a pussy bow and he finished the look with black leather boots.
As much as I love Harry’s wild suits, I tend to love him just as much in black -- especially monochrome. Even though this suit is completely one color and essentially patternless, the sequins add a cool detail, as do the crystal studs, that are also on the side of the trouser.
I’m definitely not opposed to sequin dresses, sequin jumpsuits, and literally sequin anything; but, these sequin pants from Express caught my eye immediately while I was browsing through their website and the Basel sequin suit instantly came to mind!
I paired them with a top from Branded by CB. This is actually a bodysuit, which I much prefer because when it comes to going out outfits because they stay completely tucked in and are more flattering on the figure. It’s off the shoulder, giving the look that sexiness that’s perfect for a night out. The bell sleeves are really fun and add a extra bit to the look because I don’t have crystal studded peaked lapels. 😏
I finished the look with New Look black velvet heels, which are the only pair of black high heels that I own -- can you believe that?!
SO, WHAT’S NEXT?!
Next Sunday I am throwing up an autumn edit on the blog! What does that mean?! I’ll be sharing with you the things on my to purchase list for autumn -- mostly clothing and shoe related (black heels anyone?!) I’ve already put up one fall outfit if you want to check that out! Also, I’m cleaning out my summer and spring looks (save for a few for the blog) so keep an eye on my Poshmark for good deals -- especially for us petite gals!
See you next Sunday!
All the love,
