Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I take pictures of myself trying to dress like Harry Styles. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. Hope you have a nice stay!

5 Fashion Bloggers Show You How to Wear Leopard Print

Welcome to my very first collaboration post! 🎉I’ve teamed up with four other bloggers to show you the variety of ways to wear the trend that kicked off autumn — leopard print. It seems that no one can get enough the the print that defined my childhood in the 90s, and I’ve seen some very fashionable ladies sport leopard print in a multitude of ways; pink and leopard, stripes and leopard print, red and black leopard print — and it all looks SO good.

If you, however, feel as if you have no idea on where to start with styling the loud print or if you’re looking for a new way to style whatever leopard print piece you have — these ladies (plus myself!) are coming to the rescue!

LEOPARD PRINT DRESS

I know, I know… it’s November! While most of you are out there playing in crunchy leaves that have fallen on the ground and enjoying hot cups of coffee to combat the cool morning weather, I’m in Los Angeles still sweating my tits off. Which is probably the reason I find a cowl-necked, spaghetti strap, side slit dress so autumnal.

I styled the ASOS dress with Vans to give it that cool, casual feel; but, if you are looking to wear this dress on a night out, throw on some black pumps and it instantly dresses the piece up. Is it cool at night where you live?! A black (faux) leather jacket adds warmth and a bit of edge that fits perfectly with leopard print. Still want to be cool and casual but need something for cooler days?! A red cardigan would look PERFECT over this dress.

Okay fine, maybe a cardigan and/or leather jacket just isn’t enough because like… it’s snowing where you are! What about a leopard print coat?

LEOPARD PRINT COAT

Hannah Gladwin —who, like me, has champagne taste and prosecco money— shows you how to style a leopard print coat:

A faux fur leopard print coat adds a bit of luxuriousness to any outfit… plus it’s really warm! Normally, I’m not afraid to mix prints together but, for this outfit, I let the coat be the statement piece and chose a neutral palette for the rest of the outfit.

Oversized pieces and flowy fabrics has also been a big trend, so I put together my favourite nude-pink culottes with a light copper tone blouse with a twist front. I think the tonal colours really compliment the leopard print - the mix of textures and colours create an elegant final look (so of course I wore this to the Dorchester!).

To finish the look, I picked out the black spots in the coat and accessorised with a beautiful croc textured DVF bag (another animal print big for autumn and winter!) and some simple black heels. However, the great thing about this look is that you can easily dress it down, by wearing some chunky sneakers or some leather chelsea boots, if you’re wanting to go more casual.

Hannah’s super cute faux fur leopard print coat is from H&M; her bag is from Diane von Furstenberg (similar); her blouse is from River Island; her pants (similar) and shoes are both from ASOS.

Maybe it’s not quite cold enough for a coat where you’re living… how about a leopard print scarf?!

LEOPARD PRINT SCARF

Lindsey Kyle —who’s about all things cosy— has the perfect tip for those of you who are looking for just a pop of leopard print:

I am usually the type of girl to stick to solid colors or very simple prints like stripes or polka dots. So when I saw that leopard was going to be a big trend this season I had to think of ways that I could incorporate the print into my wardrobe. I ended up buying this fabulous scarf and pointed flats. I found that I could style this scarf with many different outfits. It goes perfectly with a long sleeve tee, jeans, and flats or a cute sweater dress and boots. You can mix the leopard print with other patterns but I choose to wear it as the only printed piece so that I don’t overwhelm my outfit. The scarf works perfectly against fall tones and neutral colors.

Lindsey’s cute scarf (similar) is perfect because it’s an easy find no matter what your budget is. Plus, she’s got a blog post up on the world’s cutest leopard print pointed flats.

Speaking of shoes — they are a great way to add leopard print to your wardrobe but keep your overall outfit rather neutral.

LEOPARD PRINT BOOTS

Kait —who’s from Canada and loves teacups and things— definitely knows how to style leopard print with those snazzy boots:

I’ve always been a huge fan of statement accessories – be it a necklace, statement earrings or a loud shoe. Statement accessories are a great way to experiment with trends that may be out of your comfort zone, and for many people animal prints can be a little intimidating. What I love about these leopard print boots is that they are so incredibly easy to dress up or dress down. You can wear them with virtually anything, like jeans and an oversized sweater for a more casual look like I did here. These boots also look great with a dress or skirt and some tights for a dressier look.

Totally makes me want to wear my own leopard print boots more. Kait’s boots are from Blowfish Shoes; both her jumper and her hat are from H&M; her jeans are from Zara; and her handbag is from Kate Spade.

You can find Kait on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Bloglovin.

Or maybe you’re searching for a way to take leopard print from day to night, and isn’t a skirt the most perfect way to do that?!

LEOPARD PRINT SKIRT

Brittany Abrahram —who has the most fire sense of style I’ve ever seen— tells you the perfect way to add a leopard print skirt into your wardrobe:

I love incorporating prints into my fall wardrobe, and leopard print is the perfect way to spice things up while staying on trend. I decided to style this leopard print skirt from Forever 21. I love this piece because this particular print is subtle and great for everyday wear. I paired the skirt with a knit black sweater and lace-up suede booties. I accessorized my outfit with polka dot tights and rose gold jewelry for a cohesive and warm look.

Brittany’s skirt is from Forever 21; her jumper is from Target (similar); her tights are from Forever 21; her boots are from Vince; and her watch is from Michael Kors.

You can find Brittany on Instagram and Twitter.

SO, WHAT’S NEXT?!

I seriously hope you enjoyed the collaboration post and you check out all of these lovely ladies! Next week I may bring the Harry Styles outfit posts back, or maybe I will keep you all on your toes and do something a bit different! Keep your eyes peeled.

All the love,
M.
